Singer 99 Treadle
A re-make into a 3/4 size treadle. All parts were salvaged from potential loss and brought together into a new and very useful and very unusual 'new' treadle. The Singer 99 sewing machine is the newest part of the re-make at 59 years old. Together it is one fine and useful treadle with another 100 years to serve.
The treadle is made up from parts of a Wheeler and Wilson treadle that was over 100 years old and had seen much better days. The irons cleaned up and went back together to work another 100 years with ease. The 3 bead trim was all salvaged and reused to finish the new red oak top. The drawer assembly was in good condition and was reused.
The nicest thing was the 3/4 size machine placed the operator in front of the needle. This was facilitated with the wheel on this W&W treadle been out side of the frame. This position results in the most comfortable working position possible for the operator. The price for this fine renewed treadle is $275.00
